Special, Conditional & Alternative Admissions Programs
Widener University School of Law
Trial Admissions Program
|
About the Program: “The Trial Admissions Program (TAP) is an alternative method of admission to the School of Law for participants who successfully complete the program. TAP seeks to identify and assist applicants who display promise of success in legal studies even though they may have excelled in only one of the two principal standardized predictors of success - the Law School Admission Test and the undergraduate cumulative grade point average.
TAP participation is not considered admission to the J.D. program, and no credit toward the J.D. degree is given.
Classes begin in the last week of May or early June and end in mid-July. Classes are held at times that will not interfere with normal work schedules. Invitations to participate in the program are usually extended in March and April.”
Selection Criteria: “Applicants do not need to specifically request consideration for TAP. All applicants who do not meet the regular admission standards are automatically considered for participation in TAP.”
Application Fee: $60.00.
Application Deadline: May 15, 2005.
